Living In Minnesota

Dec-Mar
These are your prime winter sport months. Snow mobiling, skiing, ice-skating and of course hockey are the popular activities when the temperature drops. It’s also time to head to the lake, for ice fishing that is.

April-May
Spring can be quite short in the Rochester area. It is time to do some trout fishing, till the garden so you can plant the flowers and of course clean out the closets and make sure those shorts fit for summer.

June-Aug
The summer months are great for being on one of the 10,000 plus lakes in Minnesota. The humidity can get a little sticky at times, but otherwise the summer months are a quite enjoyable time for weddings, heading to the cabin, or just relaxing in the backyard.

Sept-Nov
Your classic autumn months arrive and bring wonderful changes of color. The first color to be seen is purple, signifying the start of another Viking football season. Followed beautifully in October by orange, red and yellow as the leaves slowly fall from the trees. This is an opportune time to see nature get ready for the winter months that lie ahead.
